Not Posting Money Pictures Does Not Mean We Are Broke, Ziza Bafana Explains
International superstars, especially musicians, are often seen decked out in expensive jewelry and flashing stacks of cash on social media.
Many assume that these displays automatically mean the artiste is wealthy.
This raises a question: why do not Ugandan musicians do the same?
Is it because they cannot afford it, or is it simply a matter of preference?
Ugandan dancehall singer Ziza Bafana shared his thoughts on publicly displaying money in a post on X.
“Just because we do not take pictures an’ money does not mean we are broke and you will not get shot.”
In other words, not every artiste who chooses not to flaunt wealth is poor, and not every display of money reflects real financial status.
So, the next time you see a superstar flashing bling or bundles of cash, remember it is just one way of telling their story and things are not always as they seem.
