NUP Card Row: Luswa Luwemba’s Advice to Disappointed Hopefuls

Political analyst Luswa Luwemba has joined the debate over public figures who failed to secure National Unity Platform (NUP) party cards.

Among those affected are Joyce Bagala, Lubega Obeidi (Reign), Allan Ssewanyana, and media personality Tuff B.

In an interview with Sanyuka Uncut, Luswa urged the disappointed hopefuls to remain calm and treat the setback as a lesson in politics.

Politics is a marathon, not a sprint. Missing out on a party card does not mean the end of your political career. What matters most is consistency, service to the people, and strategic patience.

Luswa encouraged aspirants to stay connected with the electorate, saying leadership is measured by relevance even in tough times.

True leadership is about more than party endorsements. It is about service and staying connected to the people.

He called on political parties to adopt transparent card allocation to avoid disputes that weaken unity.

Political parties must be transparent in how they allocate cards to avoid internal wrangles that harm their unity and chances in elections.
