NUP Snub? AgaNaga Opens FDC Doors for Big Eye and Reign
Musician Mukiibi Sadat, better known as Kalifah AgaNaga, has spoken out after fellow entertainers Big Eye StarBoss and Reign Omusoyisoyi were denied National Unity Platform (NUP) cards to run for Parliament in 2026.
AgaNaga, who faced a similar fate in the 2021 general elections, told them not to give up.
All I can tell them is not to give up. I was also denied a card, but I never lost hope. If the party chooses someone else, and you truly love the party and its rules, then stay and support the one they picked. But if you are not comfortable, you can always contest as an independent.
The Bad Character Records boss, who has since joined the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), even opened the door for the two creatives to cross over.
I welcome them to FDC. Big Eye, you can join. Reign, you can join. At the end of the day, we are all in the opposition, and the real opponent is the one in the presidential seat.
When asked why NUP denied them cards, AgaNaga said it all comes down to ground work, which he believes was not enough.
