Nutty Neithan Urges Ugandan Concerts to Focus on Quality, Not Numbers

In Uganda’s music industry, many believe that for an artiste to be considered successful or prominent, they must have hosted a well-attended show at one of the top concert venues.

During a recent media interview, Nutty Neithan, one of Uganda’s popular dancehall artistes, expressed concern about this developing way of thinking.

He explained that people no longer care about the quality of sound at an event or the actual performance of the artistes.

“Concerts have changed; people no longer care as much about the sound quality on stage. Instead, they focus on whether the venue was filled,” Nutty Neithan said.

He emphasized that concerts should be about the music, not the number of attendees.

He went on to say that the Ugandan music industry has lost its way, as instead of appreciating talent, people have started counting heads at concerts.

Using Acidic Vokoz’s recent ‘Ndi Musoga’ concert as an example to stress his point, Nutty Neithan pointed out that while everyone is focusing on how the event was sold out, no one is reviewing other important aspects like sound quality and performances.

To conclude, Nutty Neithan announced that he is planning to have his own concert next year, confidently stating that he is going to make a statement with it.
