Odumodublvck Reveals Music Was Not His First Career Choice
Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, never planned to pursue music.
The 31-year-old stumbled into the industry after initially aiming to be an artiste manager.
He accompanied a friend to the studio to help with a project, spending their last 20,000 naira on production.
Once there, he ended up writing the song himself, which launched his music career.
Despite not choosing music first, Odumodublvck has achieved major success.
His 2023 hit ‘Declan Rice’ was Spotify’s second biggest global rap song of the year, reached number one on Apple Music Nigeria’s Top 100, and entered the Top 5 on Spotify Nigeria.
In April 2025, he won the Next Rated Artiste category at the Headies Awards, cementing his status as one of Nigeria’s leading rappers.
