Olamide Says Running a Label Is Easier Than Being an Artiste

Nigerian music star Olamide says running his record label is much easier than being an artiste.

The Yahoo Boy No Laptop Nation (YBNL) boss shared that his own experience as a performer helps him understand the emotions and struggles of the musicians signed to him.

Speaking with YouTuber Korty EO, Olamide revealed that he knows exactly how creatives think and act, from their moments of pure inspiration to when fame, money and success get to their heads.

He explained that this insight makes it easier for him to guide his artistes while avoiding taking on more than he can handle.

On the ongoing debate about rappers turning to singing, Olamide made it clear he refuses to be boxed into one label.

He said he simply loves music in all its forms.
