Omega 256 Reveals Emotional Meaning of Her Back Tattoo

Ugandan singer Omega 256 has finally set the record straight about the tattoo on her back, which fans had long assumed was for a lover.

The ink, showing a man’s face, sparked wild speculation, but the “See You Tonight” star says the story is far from romantic.

In a sit-down with Tawfiq Media, Omega made it clear she would never get a tattoo of a partner.

I cannot make that mistake. I am not an amateur. I cannot do that. I fear men; they can embarrass me.

Instead, the tattoo is a tribute to the man who has shaped her life, her father.

That tattoo that you see is of my father. The love I have for that man is so strong. When we are growing up, there are things we take for granted or do not fully understand until we are older. And when you reflect and remember, you realize that things were hard. I have gone through a lot with my father. I pray that God blesses him with the things that he loves the most in life.”

Omega explained that the tattoo was a personal choice for herself, not something to impress or show her father.

I did it because I wanted to. Because I chose to. That man has hustled, especially when we lost our mother and he stayed with three children. He went through a lot, but I realized it when I was grown up. He went through so much, and I love him so much, and that is why I have the tattoo.

She also revealed that she has always loved tattoos, and when the time came to get one, she knew it had to honor her father.
