Omega 256 Shares Inspiration Behind “Ki Uganda Kinyuma” Banger

On October 3, a new anthem, “Ki Uganda Kinyuma,” made its debut and instantly captured the nation’s attention.

A collaboration between Omega 256, Feffe Bussi, Mark D Urban, and Acidic Vokoz, the song celebrates Ugandan pride, joy, and culture.

“Ki Uganda Kinyuma,” which means “Uganda is fun,” perfectly captures the bold, fun-loving spirit the artistes are sharing.

For Omega 256, the inspiration behind the track came from a desire to celebrate Uganda differently.

We got a concept from the fact that we wanted to celebrate Uganda. We wanted to do something different, given that we are from different tribes. So we chose to do something different. People have sung about love, parties, and everything else, so we wanted to celebrate Uganda, and we chose to do ‘Ki Uganda Kinyuma.

She explained that they wanted to steer away from the usual ways Uganda is celebrated in songs.

We did not want to go back to the ancient ways of talking about how beautiful it is, because everybody has done that. So we wanted to do something different, and we were like, ‘Uganda is good at partying and all that.’ So we did ‘Ki Uganda Kinyuma.’

Omega 256 closed by encouraging Ugandans to check out the song on all music streaming platforms.

Tell a friend to tell a friend. ‘Ki Uganda Kinyuma’ is out. I am featuring Acidic Vokoz, Feffe Bussi, and Mark D Urban. Check it out.

Already trending online, “Ki Uganda Kinyuma” is being embraced as Uganda’s newest anthem of fun and unity.
