Opening Up Is Not Weakness, Chozen Blood Advises Men
As the world observes Men’s Mental Health Month this June, Chozen Blood is stepping forward to challenge the deep-rooted stigma that discourages men from expressing their emotions.
Appearing on Sanyuka TV, the singer addressed the belief that men should suppress their feelings, calling this mindset both outdated and harmful.
“A man speaking about how he feels does not make him weak. The stigma around male vulnerability needs to end,” he stated firmly.
While acknowledging that many men may not feel comfortable crying in front of their partners or children, he emphasized the importance of finding a safe space to open up.
“You do not necessarily have to break down in front of your woman or kids, but you can talk to a counselor or someone you trust. Letting it out helps ease the burden you carry,” he said.
Chozen Blood’s message comes at a crucial time, as men worldwide are being encouraged to prioritize their mental well-being and rethink what true strength really means.
