Pallaso Opposes Mufti Mubaje’s Proposal to Ban TikTok, Believes It Is Easier Said Than Done

Singer Pallaso has disagreed with the Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, over his call to ban TikTok in the country.

Sheikh Mubaje recently urged the government to remove the platform, describing it as useless.

However, the “Malamu” hitmaker, who credits himself with introducing TikTok to Uganda, does not support the idea.

In a media interview, he said that if Sheikh Mubaje believes he has the power to ban the platform, he is free to try — but he does not believe it will happen.

“TikTok is a powerful media platform used worldwide. It is not something you can simply wake up one day and decide to get rid of. It is not that easy,” he explained.

In conclusion, Pallaso said that while he respects the Sheikh Mubaje, he neither sees nor understands how the platform could be shut down in Uganda.
