Pallaso Reflects on His Lowest Career Moment: The Soma Concert
Singer Pius Mayanja, better known as Pallaso, has opened up about the lowest point in his music career, which was his Soma Concert.
In 2017, the concert, held at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds, experienced a disappointing turnout despite Pallaso’s personal financial investment.
Reflecting on the setback in a media interview, he admitted that it was a difficult experience but one that provided valuable lessons.
“It gave me low moments,” he said, adding, however, that they were moments to learn from, as they taught him that the music business is not as easy as sorting beans.
On a brighter note, Pallaso spoke of his most significant career achievement, which was being invited by the Kabaka of Buganda to perform at his birthday celebration.
He described the experience as unforgettable, especially when the Kabaka shook his hand and “knighted” him.
