Pallaso Says He Raised the Value of Music in Uganda

Ugandan singer Pallaso says he played a major role in reshaping the country’s music industry after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following the pandemic, the value of performances and music deals had dropped significantly.

Pallaso explained on Horizon Vibe that by adjusting his price, he encouraged other musicians to reconsider theirs as well.

Musicians actually have to celebrate me. How and why? I changed the price tag of Uganda music. After COVID, I changed the price and every artiste changed the price. Everyone might see it as… but we went forward as a country.

The “Malamu” hitmaker believes his actions helped elevate the industry and that he deserves to be celebrated for it.
