Pastor Sempa Criticizes Azawi, Elijah Kitaka, Amooti, and Kasuku Over Moral Values
Pastor Martin Ssempa of Makerere Community Church has openly expressed his disapproval of entertainers who engage in cross-dressing, calling it unacceptable and a negative influence on society.
He believes that male performers who dress and behave like women, and female entertainers who adopt masculine traits, are undermining moral values.
During a media interview, the pastor specifically criticized comedian Amooti Omubalanguzi for dressing as a woman during his performances.
He highlighted the comedian’s recent show, claiming that he brought men dressed as women onto the stage.
Regarding comedian Senga Sebanga’s media appearances dressed as a woman, Sempa voiced strong disapproval, stating that he cannot tolerate seeing a man dressed as a woman on television.
He also vowed to raise these concerns with Nyombi Tembo, the Executive Director of the Uganda Communications Commission, in a bid to address what he perceives as the erosion of moral standards.
In addition, Sempa directed criticism toward singer Azawi for what he described as her ‘masculine’ demeanor and Elijah Kitaka for wearing short shorts, deeming the fashion choice inappropriate for men.
Media personality Kasuku also came under fire, with Sempa claiming that he, too, has started wearing short shorts.
The pastor concluded by urging the entertainers to rethink their fashion choices, transform their behavior, and work towards being positive influences in society.
