Pia Pounds Celebrates Five Years of Her First Album “Tupaate”
Ugandan singer Pia Pounds took to social media on September 23 to mark the fifth anniversary of her first album, recorded as an EP, “Tupaate.”
Released in 2000, the four-track project remains one of her most celebrated works and a key milestone in her career.
Pia revealed that producing the EP required countless sleepless nights in the studio.
She recalled that it took another year before the EP brought her the breakthrough she had been seeking, and that the praise it received made the effort worthwhile.
Looking back, Pia Pounds described the journey as worth every struggle, sleepless night, and painful moment.
