Pia Pounds is aiming far beyond the usual concert stages.

During an appearance on Next Chill Out, the singer, born Tracy Kirabo, revealed that she wants to perform at two of the world’s biggest sporting events: the FIFA World Cup and the Super Bowl.

Speaking confidently to host MC Casmir, she did not hesitate when asked about her long term ambitions.

I want to perform at the World Cup & the Super Bowl.

The statement reflects an artiste who has spent years building her catalogue and presence in Uganda’s music industry.

Since her breakthrough around 2011, Pia Pounds has remained consistent, blending Afrobeat, RnB and electronic dance sounds.

MC Casmir acknowledged that consistency during the interview.

When I look at the list of songs you have done, people should give you your flowers indeed.

Her track record supports the praise.

“Twende Tupaate” gained international exposure after featuring on the Netflix reality series Young, Famous & African.

She has also released fan favorites like “Size Yange” and the patriotic anthem “I Love My Team,” dedicated to the Uganda national football team.

The interview also touched on her current projects and personal growth, painting the picture of an artiste who believes her reach can extend well beyond East Africa.

With more than a decade in the industry, Pia Pounds is now setting her focus on stages that draw global audiences.
