Pressure 247 Remanded to Luzira Over Alleged Hate Speech

Ugandan TikToker Pressure 247 has been sent to Luzira Prison after appearing in court over allegations of hate speech.

Prosecutors say the social media personality, born Ibrahim Musana, shared videos and messages about senior government officials.

One of the people mentioned was Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

Investigators say the posts spread widely online and contained abusive language directed at the senior military officer and other leaders.

During the court session, the charges were presented before the magistrate ordered that Pressure 247 be remanded to Luzira Prison.

He will remain on remand until March 26, 2026 when he is expected to return to court for further hearing of the case.

Authorities say investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
