Prime Minister Nabbanja Considers Dissociating from Gravity Omutujju Over Controversial Music
Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has addressed her association with singer Gravity Omutujju, who is facing significant scrutiny due to the vulgarity in his music.
In an interview with Sanyuka TV, Nabbanja explained that her collaborations with musicians during campaigns are based on public demand.
She works with several artists, including Catherine Kusasira, Eddy Kenzo, Jose Chameleone, Full Figure, Mesach Semakula, Ronald Mayinja, and occasionally collaborates with Gravity Omutujju.
Nabbanja emphasized that her choice of artistes depends on what the public wants.
However, she made it clear that if an artiste, like Gravity Omutujju, faces public criticism, she is willing to reconsider her association with them.
While Nabbanja admitted she does not personally enjoy music, she prioritizes ensuring that people are entertained and have fun.
She also believes that Gravity Omutujju is deliberate with his music and creates it fully aware of its impact.
Although she has not yet spoken to him about the ongoing criticism, Nabbanja plans to advise him to change his ways.
Despite the controversy, she noted that many Ugandans still appreciate Gravity Omutujju as an artiste.
