Producer Rinex Stands by Working With Bobi, Says No Apology Is Owed to Bebe

For some time now, whispers have circulated about a rift between Bebe Cool and veteran music producer Rinex.

Many speculate that the tension began when Rinex started working with Bebe Cool’s long-time musical rival, Bobi Wine.

Uncertainty lingered over their relationship, as neither addressed the issue until recently, when Rinex appeared on Sanyuka Bigenda Bitya.

During the interview, he made it clear that he does not regret his actions and owes the “Love You Everyday” singer no apology.

I do not need Bebe Cool to forgive me for anything. I did not commit any crime. So why would he need to forgive me?

Rinex, known for his work with numerous Ugandan artistes, pushed back against the idea that working with Bobi Wine was a betrayal of any kind.

Producing for Bobi Wine is not a crime. Maybe if Bebe Cool was the one who took me to school, taught me production, then maybe I would have done wrong by producing for another artiste. But I taught myself.

He emphasized his independence as a creative and his commitment to professionalism over loyalty politics.

I am a producer for musicians, so I do not need anybody’s validation. I do not owe anyone an apology. I do my things.

As for where things stand now with Bebe Cool, Rinex admitted the working relationship no longer exists, and likely will not return.

I will not say that the working relationship is there. He has other producers he works with. I do not think he will come back and work with me because I produce for Bobi Wine.
