Promoter Nobat Arrested Over Multiple Complaints from Ugandan Artistes
Ugandan music promoter Nobat Promoter, who now goes by the name Generational Promoter, was summoned to Nateete Police Station and reported on December 4 to make his official statement.
According to fellow promoter Nalongo Kitone, who visited to offer support, Nobat was later arrested and detained following multiple complaints filed against him.
Nalongo detailed the cases:
Nobat Promoter, my good friend, has been arrested and taken into police custody on several cases—eight files from Eddy Kenzo, three files from Chameleone, and one file from Tina Tine Mariam. The police have informed me that he will be held further for investigations, and his phones have been confiscated.
She also expressed disappointment in the artistes involved, saying they have shown hostility toward someone they have collaborated with many times.
The arrest has raised concern among fellow promoters and fans, leaving many eager to see how the investigations will unfold.
