Promoter Norbat Alleges Assault by Security Personnel in Gulu

Over the weekend, a group of Ugandan event promoters travelled to Gulu on Saturday to meet with General Salim Saleh over challenges affecting their industry.

However, during the visit, one of the promoters, known as Norbat Events, was reportedly assaulted by individuals who identified themselves as security personnel.

According to Norbat, the group accused him of disrespecting and verbally abusing General Salim Saleh, allegations he strongly denies.

I have never abused General Salim Saleh. He is like a father to me, and I respect him deeply. Perhaps those around him misunderstood my words.

He also revealed that he is currently receiving treatment for injuries sustained during the incident, particularly severe pain in his back.

Despite the ordeal, Norbat remains determined and hopeful.

I will never get tired of going to Gulu. I will keep going until I become successful. I am in love with the Gulu road.

The incident has since sparked conversation among industry players about how promoters are treated and the need for clear communication when engaging with authorities.
