Rapper Ca$h Out and His Mother Sentenced in Sex Trafficking Case

Atlanta rapper Ca$h Out will never walk free again.

The former chart topping artiste, whose real name is John Michael Hakeem Gibson, was sentenced to life in prison last week after being found guilty of running a violent sex trafficking ring.

The shocking verdict was delivered in an Atlanta courtroom following a months long trial that exposed the disturbing truth behind Gibson’s so called music empire.

Prosecutors said he used his Pyrex Music Group label as a front to lure and trap women into a twisted world of prostitution, manipulation and abuse.

His own mother, Linda Smith, was convicted as a co defendant and sentenced to 30 years in prison. His right hand man Tyrone Taylor also received life behind bars.

The court called their operation a “reign of terror,” with victims suffering from post traumatic stress disorder, depression and long term trauma.

Ca$h Out rose to fame in the early 2010s with hits like “Cashin’ Out” and “She Twerkin,” and even made a brief appearance in the 2019 film Uncut Gems.

But behind the fame was a dark reality prosecutors say involved systematic exploitation and cruelty.

The sentencing judge said Gibson was responsible for “the very worst of human behavior.”

His defense team had pleaded for a lighter 30 year sentence but the court made it clear there would be no mercy.

Now, the man who once boasted about money and fame will spend the rest of his life behind bars, his rap career destroyed and his legacy in ruins.
