Ray G Explains Why He Is Not Signing Many Artists

Ray G has explained why he has resisted the temptation to sign a large number of artists under his record label, Awesome Entertainment.

While on NBS After 5, the Western Uganda music star said managing artists demands significant time, commitment and financial investment.

For that reason, he prefers to work with a small group he can fully support instead of building a large roster.

Running a record label takes a lot of resources. I would rather work with one or two artists and help them reach another level before bringing in more.

Ray G revealed that Awesome Entertainment is already working with a number of artists, but said the focus remains on developing talent gradually rather than expanding too quickly.

He believes giving a few artists the attention they need is far more valuable than signing many musicians without the resources to help them grow.
