Recho Rey Maintains Tomboy Identity Despite Embracing Feminine Fashion
When Recho Rey first joined the music industry, she stood out as a confident tomboy, boldly expressing herself through her fashion choices, attitude, and overall style.
As time went on, however, the rapper caught many by surprise by embracing a more feminine appearance.
During an interview with Sanyuka TV, Recho Rey spoke about the shift in her image, making it clear that although her style of dressing changed, her tough persona remains the same.
“I am still a gangster,” she said, proudly referring to herself as the “sexy gangster.”
She went on to share that the transformation did not happen overnight.
“It has taken some good time, like almost six years, because the transformation happened in 2019,” she said.
Recho Rey explained that the decision to switch up her style was a deliberate and strategic move that she sat down, discussed, and agreed upon with her team.
“You know, most female rappers, not to throw shade, but most of them are tomboys, and I am still one too. We decided to switch up my image a bit to show other girls that you can be feminine and still be a gangster,” she explained.
She admitted that adjusting to the change was challenging in the beginning, but with time, she became more comfortable with her new look.
