Reign Says No Comedy Duo Comes Close to Maulana & Reign
Reign is sure about one thing: comic duo Maulana & Reign are in a league of their own.
The Ugandan funnyman and one half of the popular duo made the bold statement while on Sanyuka Uncut, and things got interesting when other comedy duos entered the conversation.
At the mention of Madrat & Chiko, he quickly shut down any comparison.
According to Reign, the difference is clear in both content and delivery, and in his books, the two groups are simply not on the same level.
Do not compare Madrat & Chiko to Maulana & Reign. Never compare Madrat & Chiko to Maulana & Reign again. Maulana & Reign are totally different from Madrat & Chiko. The way we deliver our content is not the way they deliver theirs. If we are up there, Madrat & Chiko are down there. We are way better than them.
He then threw down a stage challenge, saying anyone who doubts him should bring both duos together and let the audience decide.
He even went a step further, suggesting that matching Maulana & Reign would take more than just one act.
Whoever wants to prove it should put us on the same stage and see. At the level we are at, to match us, they would have to combine Madrat & Chiko, MC Mariachi, Merry Hearts Tumbeetu, and Alex Muhangi.
Ugandan comedy fans deserve this battle, and we are ready with popcorn.
Any promoter or organizer brave enough to make it happen should step forward.
