Rema Fans Slam Billboard Over One-Hit Wonder Tag
Rema’s fans are not happy after Billboard described him as a one-hit wonder.
The US-based music magazine reshared a previous chart report on February 16, 2026, ranking the Nigerian star among the 25 Biggest One Hit Wonders of the 21st Century.
The list focused on his global hit “Calm Down,” which featured Selena Gomez.
Billboard explained that although the song became a major crossover success, Rema has not returned to the Hot 100 chart since then.
The publication also acknowledged that he has secured six top 10 songs on the US Afrobeats chart.
Still, many fans believe the label is unfair.
Social media users argued that Rema has delivered several strong records, sold out shows across continents, and helped grow Afrobeats worldwide.
For his supporters, one chart category does not capture the full story of his career.
