Rema Namakula Explains Why She Prefers Singles Over Albums
Ugandan singer Rema Namakula continues to take a different path in how she releases her music, choosing to focus on singles instead of full albums.
While more artistes across the country embrace album projects and push the culture forward, Rema remains comfortable with a strategy that works best for her.
Speaking during her appearance on Sanyuka Uncut, she pointed to timing and planning as key factors behind her decision.
Releasing many songs at once, in her view, divides attention and often allows one track to overshadow the rest.
Because of this, she opts to release songs one at a time so each one gets a fair chance to grow, connect with listeners, and perform well.
Even so, she has not ruled out the idea completely, leaving the door open for a future album and giving fans reason to stay expectant.
InshaAllah, you never know. I like them, but as you know, when you release many at the same time, things do not always play out well for each one. Usually, one outperforms the other. But when you release them one by one, the outcome is different. Still, you never know, maybe in the near future, InshaAllah.
I plan to release albums one day, one at a time, and share each of them with my fans. – Rema Namakula #SanyukaUnCut #SanyukaUpdates #FfeBannoDdala pic.twitter.com/ASFNkWnqW5
