Rickman Names Joshua Baraka the Most Talented Artiste Uganda Has Had

Ugandan singer Rickman Manrick has given Joshua Baraka his flowers while he can still smell them.

Appearing on the Ugandan Boy Talk Show, Rickman made a bold declaration, describing Joshua Baraka as the most talented artiste Uganda has ever produced.

He backed up his statement by pointing to Baraka’s versatility, noting that his skill set extends well beyond singing.

In his view, Baraka embodies what it truly means to be a complete musician.

I usually say, me, I am not a talented musician, but I am a creative musician. The people who have talent… I would say Joshua Baraka is the most talented artiste we have had in Uganda. He is a complete musician. He can sing. He just did dancehall. He can rap. He plays instruments, and he can produce music. So, I feel like that is a complete artiste.

It will come as no surprise if Rickman’s comments face pushback, given that debates over who is the “most talented” never truly settle.

But while opinions will always differ, the “Bango” hitmaker made his position clear and did not hesitate to give credit where he believes it is due.
