Rickman Recounts Terrifying Road Accident After Fort Portal Show
A frightening road accident has left Ugandan singer Rickman Manrick reflecting on how close he came to losing his life.
During a chat on Next Radio Tranzit, Rickman shared details of the crash that happened while he was returning to Kampala after a performance in Fort Portal.
The incident occurred on the night of March 8, 2026 after the team decided to use an alternative route to avoid a damaged road filled with potholes.
Rickman said he had been asleep in the back seat when the vehicle suddenly lost control and rolled before crashing.
Despite the frightening accident, everyone inside the vehicle survived. Rickman believes wearing seatbelts played a major role in protecting them.
The experience has since changed how he views road safety. He now encourages travelers to always wear seatbelts, plan their journeys carefully, and avoid rushing on the road.
