Ring Rapper Drops ‘Ratata’ Name, Rebrands as ‘Official’

In June, Ring Rapper Official confirmed his split with manager Ibra Buwembo, citing creative differences and contractual challenges.

Speaking in a recent interview with Daily Soup, the 18-year-old hip-hop artiste revealed that the fallout forced him to change his stage name from “Ring Rapper Ratata” to “Ring Rapper Official.”

He explained that his former manager retained control of his social media accounts and went as far as deleting his music from YouTube.

With no access to the platforms tied to his old name, he had no choice but to rebrand and start over.

I am no longer Ring Rapper Ratata. I am now Ring Rapper Official because they kept control of my accounts. They also deleted my music from YouTube, and I do not have access to it. So I had to change the name, and now I am using Ring Rapper Official. Anything under Ring Rapper Ratata is not me. Ibra was my manager, and since he managed my accounts, he definitely still has them.

Asked whether he had tried to reclaim his accounts and music, Ring Rapper Official said that if his former manager truly wanted him to have them back, he would have already returned them.

He would have given them back to me by now. Ibra was like a father to me, so I expected him to wish me well. But the fact that he even deleted from YouTube the music we worked on together… that speaks for itself. For it to reach the point of deleting six years of my work, how do you expect him to hand it back to me?

He closed by clarifying that he is not actively seeking a manager at the moment but is instead looking for a supportive team he can work with.
