Ritah Dancehall Dismisses Claims of Copying Uncle Chumi’s Style

Dancer-turned-musician Ritah Dancehall has dismissed claims that she is copying rising singer Uncle Chumi in any way.

When asked if she joined the music industry because of Uncle Chumi’s rise to fame, Ritah denied the suggestion, calling it untrue.

She explained that she has been in the entertainment industry as a dancer for over eight years, a time when Uncle Chumi was not involved in any artistic activities.

Because of that, the Ndekie singer believes there is no way she could have copied or could be copying her.

According to Ritah, Uncle Chumi only recently ventured into music and was fortunate to score a hit song, Gwokute Gwobba.

She made it clear that her style is completely different and that she does not look to him for inspiration.

Ritah added that if she were to look up to anyone for influence, Uncle Chumi would not even be on the list.

To her, they are simply too different in terms of style, music, fashion, and overall artistic expression.
