Roast and Rhyme ‘Soul on Strings’ Set to Light Up Kampala on November 2

Kampala’s favorite outdoor music and food festival is back, and this time it is all about the soul.

The Roast and Rhyme “Soul on Strings” edition is set to take over the Lugogo Hockey Grounds on Sunday, November 2, 2025, promising a perfect blend of live music, good food, and laid back picnic vibes.

Organized by Swangz Avenue, the event has become a Kampala tradition, bringing together Uganda’s best live acts with the city’s love for nyama choma, beer, and great company.

Early bird tickets are going fast at UGX 70,000 via FlexiPay (*291#), hinting at yet another sold out crowd.

This year’s theme, “Soul on Strings,” celebrates Uganda’s rich acoustic and live music culture, highlighting raw vocals, guitars, and feel good melodies.

The lineup includes Aziz Azion, Tracy Melon, Nince Henry, Vyroota, and AaronX.

Organizers have also teased surprise guest appearances, and word has it that MC Kats might step on stage.

From 11 am, Lugogo will transform into a colorful picnic haven filled with blankets, food trucks, grilled delicacies, chilled Bell Lager, and fun lawn games for all ages.

Families are welcome, and children under 12 enter free. VVIP guests (UGX 200,000) will enjoy exclusive lounges and front row views, while standard tickets will be UGX 100,000 at the gate.

“Roast and Rhyme is where music meets soul, and this edition’s string theme feels truly special,” said a Swangz Avenue representative.

So, gather your friends, pack your picnic blanket, and get ready for another unforgettable Sunday as Roast and Rhyme brings Kampala together once again.
