Robin Kisti Claims Younger TV Presenters Are Envious of Her Confidence
Former TV host Robin Kisti, born Robinah Nambooze, has denied claims that she dislikes younger media personalities who surpass her, calling them false.
Instead, she believes it is often the younger generation that has issues with her, primarily because of her confidence and the significant influence she has had in the media industry.
Robin explained that many young TV personalities admire her boldness and draw inspiration from her.
“They wish they had the confidence I have. Many of them on TV can tell you that I inspired them. I am an inspiration to many TV presenters,” she remarked.
One notable individual linked to these claims is Sheila Gashumba, a prominent media personality who has made significant strides in her career.
Some speculate that Robin still harbors a grudge, suggesting it stems from Sheila surpassing her in the media space and life in general.
However, Robin dismissed these allegations, explaining that she played a significant role in mentoring Sheila during her early days.
“I first met Sheila when she was eager to learn from me. Her father made sure she recorded all of my shows on their decoder,” she recalled.
Reflecting further, she added, “When I went to their home, I found their decoder full of Robin Kisti. I even got scared, thinking it could be witchcraft. They wanted to raise her in my TV image because I was the best, and that will never change.”
Robin expressed pride in herself as she highlighted how Sheila had greatly benefited from her guidance.
“There is a lot she has learned from me,” she affirmed, adding, “I used to see so much talent in her. I just do not know what happened to her.”
Robin concluded by emphasizing that she has never harbored hatred toward Sheila Gashumba, noting that they were once very close friends.
