Rushawn Ewears Denies Akon 1 Million Dollar Rumour
Young Jamaican singer Rushawn Ewears has denied online claims that Akon gave him 1 million US dollars.
The rumour spread widely on social media after Rushawn became famous for his viral rendition of “It’s a Beautiful Day.”
Many posts linked the money story to the song and presented it as fact.
Rushawn has now dismissed the claim, saying he never received 1 million dollars from Akon or anyone else.
He added that the only support he got came from the song’s writer, Jermaine Edwards.
Edwards also rejected the rumour, warning that it could put Rushawn at risk by making people believe he has a large amount of money.
He added that the song is properly registered and protected, and its ownership can be verified through official music rights records.
