Sabrina Carpenter to Lead Universal’s Alice in Wonderland Musical

Sabrina Carpenter is taking her talents to the big screen once again as she lands the lead role in Universal Pictures’ upcoming Alice in Wonderland-inspired musical film. Confirmed by E! News, the Espresso star will not only headline the movie but also serve as a producer, adding another milestone to her fast growing career.
The project will be written and directed by Lorene Scafaria, known for Hustlers and Succession, with Marc Platt, the producer behind La La Land and Wicked, joining the production team. Described as a modern, music driven reimagining of Lewis Carroll’s classic story, the film will combine fantasy, pop flair, and cinematic spectacle.
For Carpenter, the role marks a return to acting after global success in music with hits like Espresso and Feather. Production is expected to begin in 2025, with fans eagerly awaiting details about the soundtrack, cast, and release date.
