Salvador Criticizes Vulgar Trend Among Comedians

Ugandan comedy star Patrick Idringi Salvador has had enough of foul-mouthed comedians.

The funny man, during an interview with Sanyuka Uncut, expressed disappointment over the growing trend among some local comedians who lace their performances with vulgar and disrespectful jokes.

To him, comedy loses its purpose the moment it starts to offend and disgust.

Comedy is meant to entertain, educate, and unite people, not to insult or disrespect them.

Salvador urged his peers to treat the craft with dignity, reminding them that respect is what keeps audiences coming back.

But amid his criticism, he also opened up emotionally about the loss of his dear friend Rajiv Ruparelia, who tragically passed away in a motor accident on May 3.

With visible pain, he shared how much Rajiv meant to his journey.

I really miss the late Rajiv Ruparelia. He was the man who introduced me to the outside world, and every international gig I got was through his connections. I miss him a lot. May his soul rest in peace.
