Salvador Dismisses Claims of Bias in Hosting Jobs

Patrick Salvador Idringi has hit back at claims that he chooses which events to host based on the artistes involved.

Speculation had suggested that Salvador only worked events featuring artistes who perform in English

Speaking to Daily Soup at the Serena Kampala Hotel, where he hosted rapper Navio’s concert, the Ugandan comic was clear about his approach to work.

The ones who call me are the ones I work for. Navio called me and I came and worked for him.

He added that his record shows he works across different artistes and styles.

I always host Eddy Kenzo’s shows. I have hosted for Goodlyfe (Radio & Weasal). Whoever calls me is who I work for. As simple as that.

Salvador’s comments put to rest the speculation, showing that for him hosting is about opportunity and connection rather than language or style.

His words reaffirm his commitment to being an inclusive voice in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
