Salvador Says Museveni Will Sweep 2026 Presidential Vote
Ugandan comedian Patrick Salvador Idringi has stirred the political waters with a bold claim about the 2026 general elections.
In a recent post on X, Idringi said his travels across the country gave him a clear picture of how the race will play out.
He expressed strong confidence that the incumbent President Yoweri Museveni, of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), will secure a landslide victory.
One thing I can say for sure, having travelled around the country, is the old man with a hat is going to sweep overwhelmingly around the country.
However, Salvador admitted that not all regions will be easy wins.
The central and parts of the East will be a challenge, but the rest of the country is his for the taking.
To further express his belief in the incumbent’s chances, he urged Uganda Police not to block any processions of National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential flag bearer Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu.
That is why I do not see any reason why Uganda Police should block Hon. Kyagulanyi’s processions but rather guide them to their campaign venues safely.
Salvador also addressed those who disagree with him, saying they should first travel the country before airing their opinions.
Bambi if you have not travelled please do not come here abusing me travelling is the biggest enemy of ignorance. At least I can speak with bwino and not emotions.
Unsurprisingly, his post has divided social media, with supporters of both candidates weighing in on the debate.
