Salvador Warns Upcoming Artistes Against Disrespecting Entertainment Legends
Ugandan comedian Patrick Salvador has fired a warning shot at young and upcoming entertainers who think they can disrespect the veterans who built the industry.
Writing on his X account, Salvador urged them to be mindful of how they speak about veterans, regardless of their personal opinions.
Respect the OGs in the entertainment game. You might not like them, agree, vibe, relate, or even chill with them, but never make the mistake of disrespecting them because you think you have an opinion. Some young and upcoming artistes are learning the hard way.
The call-out comes hot on the heels of drama involving rising singer Aaronx, who took aim at music legend Bebe Cool during an interview with YouTuber Sheila Price.
Aaronx questioned Bebe Cool’s legacy, calling his latest album Break the Chains a flop, and claiming he had nothing to learn from him, unlike icons like Chameleone and Bobi Wine.
He even suggested Bebe Cool should ditch music and focus on mentoring young talent or try farming instead.
Fans and the music community were quick to react, branding Aaronx’s comments as disrespectful and clout-chasing.
Under fire, Aaronx backtracked with a public apology, blaming “camera excitement” for his harsh words.
He stressed his deep respect for Bebe Cool, calling him a pioneer and icon, and apologized to the musician, his fans, and the Gagamel family.
