He later shared on social media that the chartered jet was one of the quickest ways he could leave Dubai at the time.
The move sparked mixed reactions online, with some critics saying the decision was a display of wealth while thousands of travellers were struggling to secure flights out of the region.
Others defended the investor, arguing that private travel is a personal choice.
Leeds said the trip was necessary because he had a business networking event scheduled in London.
