Sanyuka TV has refreshed its programming schedule with the introduction of Nollywood films and a new Thai (Thailand) drama series, a move aimed at expanding entertainment options, boosting audience engagement, and strengthening the station’s connection with viewers across Uganda.

The changes, which take effect this month, introduce a fresh blend of international drama and popular African cinema while maintaining the channel’s strong focus on local storytelling and engaging entertainment.

Under the new schedule, Nigerian movies will air every Wednesday to Friday at 11am, bringing some of Nollywood’s most compelling stories to daytime television.

Nollywood remains one of Africa’s largest film industries and continues to attract millions of viewers across the continent.

In addition, Sanyuka TV is introducing a new Thai drama series that will air Monday to Friday at 9pm, offering viewers a different style of storytelling known for its emotional plots, high production value, and gripping twists.

Channel management says the move is part of a wider strategy to strengthen the station’s entertainment offering and respond to changing viewer habits.

The new programming is also expected to boost daytime and primetime engagement while giving audiences more variety in the type of stories they consume.

Sanyuka TV has in recent years grown into one of Uganda’s most popular entertainment platforms, known for its vibrant presenters, music shows, community engagement, and locally produced content.

Management says the refreshed line-up is only the beginning, with more innovations expected as the station continues to invest in new content and audience-driven programming.

Viewers are encouraged to tune in and experience the new schedule as Sanyuka TV continues to expand its entertainment offering.

The new programmes will air on Sanyuka TV and will also be available on the AfroMobile app.
