Sarah Shortie Flips Traditional Roles, Says Men Should Wash and Cook

Ugandan comedian and content creator Sarah Shortie has sparked conversation with her unconventional views on roles in relationships.

Traditionally, men are seen as the primary breadwinners and protectors, while women are expected to handle childcare and domestic duties.

But Sarah Shortie says she sees things very differently.

Speaking on Sanyuka Uncut, she argued that men should be the ones handling household chores such as cooking and washing.

A man has to wash his woman’s undergarments. If you have a man, he has to wash everything for you. He also has to cook. Women were created to be helped.

While some may view her comments as controversial, Sarah Shortie believes her perspective does not take away respect from men.

For her, respect can be given in one special area of the home: the bedroom.

I will be giving that respect in bed.

Beyond her views on roles, Sarah Shortie also shared what she looks for in a partner.

She said she wants someone who is attractive, smart, owns a car, and has enough money to give her a comfortable life.
