Ugandan singer Sheebah Karungi has opened up about the emotional story behind her latest release “Da Re,” revealing a deeply personal moment she experienced during its production.

She shared that while traveling to Zanzibar to shoot the video, she discovered she was pregnant that same week, a moment that left her overwhelmed but determined to stay focused.

This video will forever mean so much to me. When I was flying to Zanzibar to shoot it, that same week I found out I was pregnant. I was overwhelmed with so many emotions, but I had to keep it all in, smile, show up, and make sure no one noticed. I had a job to do.

Despite the emotional weight, Sheebah said she pushed through the shoot, balancing her inner thoughts with the demands of work.

I remember having quiet conversations with myself, trying to process everything while still pushing through the shoot. I was there physically, but mentally, I was somewhere else.

Now, she says she feels ready to finally share that chapter with her fans as she releases the project.
