Sheik Shaban Mubaje Calls for TikTok Ban in Uganda, Calls It Useless

The Mufti of Uganda, Sheik Shaban Ramadan Mubaje, has urged the Ugandan government to take action against TikTok, warning that the platform has become a problem and could lead to violence.

He believes TikTok is even worse than Facebook, which was previously banned in Uganda, and should face similar restrictions.

According to Sheik Mubaje, TikTok lacks proper regulation and is mainly used by people who have nothing meaningful to say.

He shared his experience of visiting a country where TikTok does not exist and described it as a positive environment.

In his view, the platform is filled with idlers and content seekers who add little value to society.

He has, therefore, called on the government to intervene, arguing that TikTok is useless and serves no real purpose.
