Shimza Accuses Fake Artiste of Using AI to Clone His Song
Award winning DJ Shimza has warned that artificial intelligence could become a serious threat to musicians after claiming his work was digitally copied.
The Afro house producer shared a video in which two similar tracks were played side by side.
One was his original release. The other had been uploaded to Spotify under the name of a little known artist.
Shimza alleged that the second version was generated using AI and assembled from clips of his own music posted online.
He also pointed out that the supposed artist has only one song available and no presence on social platforms.
The claim has stirred debate across the music scene.
Many are now questioning how streaming services screen new uploads and how creators can safeguard their sound in an era where technology can imitate production styles with striking precision.
AI music is going to be such a problem, 🤣🤣🤣 Grootmaan signed a fake artist that used AI to recreate my song from clips they got off my posts and rushed to put it out before us, the artist has no other songs, this is the only song on their profile, the artist does not even… pic.twitter.com/gD5D0FsTWV
