Shreveport Welcomes 50 Cent’s G-Unit Empire and Entertainment Boom

Shreveport just became 50 Cent’s new power base.

The hip-hop mogul unveiled his gigantic 985,000-square-foot G-Unit Film & TV Studios, now the second-largest Black-owned studio in the world.

At a ceremony on November 13, Mayor Tom Arceneaux handed Fiddy the city key for the second time, celebrating his takeover of the former Millennium Studios.

50 says the move is about “building talent and community,” while Councilwoman Tabitha Taylor predicts the project will deliver hundreds of jobs and turn Shreveport into an emerging entertainment hub.

Online, fans are calling the city “South Hollywood” as anticipation builds for new G-Unit films, series, and expansions expected by 2026.

Councilwoman Tabitha Taylor called it a boom for local business, dubbing Shreveport the new “entertainment mecca” with hundreds of jobs via Louisiana’s $1B film incentives.
