Simon Bunks Faces Critics After Marrying Woman Over 30 Years Older

In a wedding that has shocked and fascinated many across Uganda, 28-year-old rising artiste Simon Bunks has married 60-year-old Sharon, a white woman from the United Kingdom.

The couple’s big age gap and cross-cultural love story have sparked mixed reactions online, but Simon and Sharon say their love is all that matters.

The two exchanged vows in a quiet private ceremony in Entebbe, attended by a few close friends and family members.

Wedding photos spread quickly online, drawing strong reactions from the public.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Sanyuka Television, Simon responded to the attention without hesitation.

Calm and sure of himself, he said:

I know people are talking, but I am not bothered. Sharon is my wife. We love each other, and that’s what matters. Love does not care about age or race. We understand each other, we support each other, and we’ve chosen to live our lives together.

Simon and Sharon also shared that they plan to adopt children soon.

People laughed at me at first, even my own friends. But when they see us together, the peace and happiness we have, they start to understand. This isn’t for show. This is real.

The couple now lives in Kampala and plans to split their time between Uganda and the United Kingdom.

Simon is also working on a new extended play record, which he says is inspired by “new beginnings, freedom, and love without borders.
