Singer Shatta Wale Wants to Leave Ghana, Calls It a “Stupid Country”

Popular Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale has shocked his fans by saying he wants to leave Ghana for good.

The outspoken singer said he is tired of the way successful people are treated in Ghana and is planning to move to Nigeria.

The artiste made these bold statements on April 13, 2025, after facing online attacks for hosting Nigerian TikTok star, Peller.

Many Ghanaians on social media mocked Shatta Wale, saying he was giving too much attention to a “mere TikToker.”

Shatta Wale, not holding back, went on Instagram and asked Nigerians to help him get a Nigerian passport.

He even called Ghana a “toilet country” and said he wants to sell his house in Ghana and buy property in Nigeria.

He added that Ghanaians never believe in his success. According to him, when he buys a new house or car, people say it is not really his.

“If I buy a house, they will say it is not mine; even when I bought my new car, they said it’s not mine. Ghana is a stupid country, and I want to relocate,” he said.

Right now, he is hosting Nigerian TikTok star Peller in Ghana, but the backlash from fans has clearly hit a nerve.
