Skales Credits Prayer for Global Hit ‘Shake Body’
Nigerian recording artiste Skales says a prayer at Winners Chapel’s Shiloh programme changed the course of his music career.
After leaving Banky W’s Empire Mate Entertainment, his career had stalled.
Timaya took him to Shiloh, where attendees were asked to write down seven wishes for God to fulfill.
Skales wrote that he wanted a song to reach audiences worldwide, seven times.
His 2015 track ‘Shake Body’ recently gained renewed global attention when Barcelona star Lamine Yamal and teammates danced to it.
Skales believes this is the fulfillment of his prayer, calling the song a “divine unending” blessing.
On X, he expressed gratitude, marveling at the song’s ongoing success and the way it keeps surprising him.
