Although the joke reportedly did not reference Cardi directly, it is claimed that tensions rose backstage.

The outlet alleges that Cardi threatened to walk off the show and damaged equipment during the heated moment.

A monitor was said to have been broken before dress rehearsal, and the joke was ultimately removed from the lineup.
