Socialite Don Nasser Remanded Again Over Child Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation Charges

Socialite Don Nasser, whose real name is Nasser Nduhukire, was brought back to court on October 8, 2024, to face charges of aggravated human trafficking and sexual exploitation of a minor.

Nasser was arrested in Nairobi, Kenya, in September and was later extradited to Uganda to answer these serious allegations.

Along with his co-accused, Promise Gatete, Nasser denies any wrongdoing.

After being extradited, both were initially presented at Buganda Road Court on September 23, 2024, where they were remanded to Luzira Prison, awaiting trial in the High Court on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

In the October 8, 2024, court session, Nasser was further remanded to Luzira Prison. His next appearance is scheduled for October 23, 2024, when the case will progress.

Both individuals are in line for trial at the High Court, as lower courts do not have the jurisdiction to handle such capital offenses that carry the possibility of a death sentence.
